Future Filmmakers will include a jam-packed day of workshops, screen and media careers presentations and insights into the current and future trends within the screen and media industry. Whether you aspire to be a director, screenwriter, cinematographer, or simply want to know more about the filmmaking process, this event will offer practical skills and expert guidance to help you explore your passion.
Throughout the day, students will participate in a variety of engaging workshops, where they'll have the opportunity to develop their filmmaking skills, experiment with creative techniques, and gain invaluable knowledge about the screen industry. Step into the world of professional filmmaking, collaborate with like-minded peers and receive guidance from experts who have worked in the industry.

Designed for Years 10, 11, and 12, this valuable event introduces students to the world of screen production, storytelling and career pathways in the creative industries. Students and teachers will develop knowledge and skills aligned to Media Arts, Media Arts in Practice, General Film, Television and New Media and Certificate III Screen and Media. Bond University will also be offering exclusive campus tours, including our dedicated Film & Television studio.
By the end of the conference, you'll walk away with a greater understanding of career pathways in the creative industries, new skills to enhance your filmmaking journey, and a network of industry connections that could help shape your future in film!

Date: Friday 5th of June
Time: 8:15am – 2:00pm
Location: Bond University, Gold Coast campus
Year Levels: Year 10, 11 and 12
Group registrations: 1 teacher/staff member per student group.
Cost: $5 per person (schools are entitled to 2 teacher comp tickets - see FAQ for the code)
Supervision: a school staff member must supervise their school group and will be required to actively manage student behaviour. Presenters will not be required to manage student behaviour.
Please note:
There are 3 breakout sessions and 6 activities occurring simultaneously.
Your school will only get to experience 3 activities.
"Tickets" are organised by Groups which will dictate the activities you have been allocated to during breakout sessions. Please read the Ticket Description carefully.
Please ensure that your total "tickets" include the total number of teachers and students.
