Our next High School Transition Day is almost upon us! Students will travel to Lowood State High School by bus (free of charge), from their primary school, and participate in a range of activities with the aim of developing their understanding of:
- Expectations and routines in high school (RISE Values, uniform, behaviour and attendance)
- Skills for reading a timetable and navigating their way around high school
- Subjects and Electives that Year 7 students will have the option of completing

The day is broken into 2 sections:

Lowood State High School – Building My Future Walking Expo Tour
This Transition Day will be immediately followed by the Building My Future Walking Expo Tour. All parents and carers who intend to enrol their student in Year 7 in 2026 should attend with their student. Therefore, a return bus will not be provided and parents/carers are responsible for ensuring their student is collected from the LSHS Hall at 3:00pm if they are not attending the Building My Future Walking Expo Tour. Students will be supervised by staff at the High School until 3:15pm.

The Activity Consent Form/ Permission letter can be found at our Lowood State High School Website. This permission letter needs to be returned to the Lowood State High School Office by 3:00pm Friday, 18 July 2025 or emailed to office@lowoodshs.eq.edu.au. No late permission letters will be accepted after this date. I will then collate the student information and organise the bus pick up times and email you.
