YEAR 6 TO 7 TRANSITION TO LOWOOD STATE HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM
Enrolments bookings for 2025 will be available online from 29 July 2025
Enrolment interviews are mandatory for all students entering Year 7 in 2026

| Term 1 | Week 9 Wednesday 26 March | Year 6 | Experience Day – The Arts - at Lowood SHS Local Primary School students may attend an Arts Experience Day. |
| | Week 10 Wednesday 2 April | Year 6 | Transition Day 1 - at Lowood State School Local Primary School students will visit Lowood State School to participate in activities relating to high school. |
| Term 2 | Week 6 | Year 6 | High School visits to primary schools Staff from Lowood SHS will deliver information about high school. |
| | Week 9 Wednesday 18 June | Years 5 and 6 | Experience Day – Writing - at Lowood SHS Local Primary School students may attend a Writing Experience Day. |
| Term 3 | Week 3 Tuesday 29 July | Year 6 | Transition Day 2 - at Lowood SHS and Building My Future - at Lowood SHS Local Primary School Year 6 students will visit Lowood State High School to participate in activities about high school. They are then invited to remain at LSHS to attend the annual subject and careers event. School tours for parents and carers will occur. |

| | Week 10 Wednesday 17 Sept | Years 5 and 6 | Experience Day – Science - at Lowood SHS Local Primary School students may attend a Science Experience Day. |
| Term 4 | Week 3 Wednesday 22 October | Years 5 and 6 | Experience Day – Digital Technologies - at Lowood SHS Local Primary School students may attend a Digital Technologies Experience Day. |
| | Week 8 Wednesday 26 November | Year 6 | SWD Year 6 Transition Afternoon Tea - at Lowood SHS Local Primary School SWD students and parents/carer have the opportunity to meet their Case Manager, learn about the high school and participate in an orientation walk around the school. |
| | Week 9 Monday 1 December Tuesday 2 December | Year 6 NOTE: Only students who are enrolled may attend. | Orientation Days - at Lowood SHS 8:45am – 3:00pm (to enable bus travel) Enrolled students will spend two days at Lowood SHS. Students will: - be introduced to key members of staff
- be involved in school orientation activities
- participate in get-to-know-you activities
- attend timetabled classes and experience the high school curriculum
